My Herb Garden

I’ve recently become a little green-fingered and started my own herb garden! I bought a pop up greenhouse, some pots and some small cuttings of various herbs and they have flourished!

I am growing chives, coriander, basil, parsley, rosemary and mint. The greenhouse stays moist so I water the plants every other day. They require minimal care and are a fabulous fresh addition to any dish! Herbs bring a multitude of health benefits too.

Chives: Promotes good heart and bone health.

Coriander: A great source of vitamin C, vitamin A and dietary fibre. An antioxidant linked to good skin health.

Basil: Antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, linked to anti-ageing.

Parsley: Protects against cancer and diabetes.

Rosemary: Enhances memory and provides neurological protection. Also aids digestion.

Mint: Helps protect against gastric ulcers and helps with indigestion and gas.

With herbs you can create countless wonderful flavour combinations – let’s get experimental in the kitchen!
